From a very young age, Samuel Dobbelaere studied carpentry and cabinetmaking, specialising in the restoration of antique furniture. He gained experience in the renowned antique shops of the Sablon district of Brussels.<\/p>

For nearly 10 years, Samuel practiced and perfected his art at an antique dealer specializing in high-end furniture upholstery in the Rue Darwin. He also worked for Luc Ritter, a well-known antique dealer in the Sablon. For many years he practised his art of restoration on collectors’ furniture and art furniture of the High Period and of different styles: French, Italian, Dutch, English, German and even Japanese.<\/p>
